How I do it.

Up until recently, I was not great at maintaining this balance. I was trying to stay on top of running this ever-growing business, school work and my passion for my job at Dutch Bros. Since graduating high school, I have made it a priority to maintain a healthy balance with both of my jobs and my personal life.

One of the biggest things I've had to learn is that I simply cannot make myself available 24/7. I used to feel like if I didn't answer a client email or text right away I was being rude or not serving my clients. My new perspective is that, although I care so much about my clients and potential clients, they will certainly understand a 24-48 hour wait if I am the right fit for them. The other big change I've made to my business is gallery turn around. I now guarantee gallery delivery at 2 months, instead of my old 2 week policy. This has had a huge impact on my stress but also my work returned to clients. That extra time has given me so much more time to focus, and really create beautiful art.

Chances are, if you're reading this you are either a prior client or someone interested in booking with me. And to you, I say thanks. Thank you for understanding that although this is not a conventional job, I do still have to set boundaries and have a healthy balance. I love that I get to create art as a form of work, however at the same time, this job can be a lot, and balance is what keeps me running.

Seriously so stoked to get to live this life.
